Renee Jensen was born in South Korea in 1976. She was adopted and grew up in Northeast Illinois. In 2004 she moved from Lincoln Park in Chicago, IL to Jackson Hole, WY situated right outside of Yellowstone National Park. There she began her career as an insurance adviser for State Farm. In 2008, Jensen left State Farm to open up her own early childhood development center.
She was married and gave birth to her daughter, Grace (10) and son Dominic (8) during her six year stay in the mountains. Jensen is divorced and resides 10 miles outside of New York City in Bergen County, NJ with them and her partner Alex.
Renee dedicates a significant amount of time providing support to many mothers in and around Bergen County through a Facebook page she created in January of 2015 called Mommies Time-Out. The page is primarily known for its events that bring mothers from all walks of life together to network and provide support to each other.

My Time-Out LLC was founded as a result of Mommies Time-Out. MTO, is an organization – a community – that supports positive mental health and wellness among mothers. In a world of social media bullying and mom shaming, MTO is a shining example of how mothers from all different backgrounds recognize the importance of building each other up, rather than tearing each other down. MTO supports this mission through its virtual village, social events, group workshops, and one on one coaching. According to Renee, “If MTO can save a marriage, prevent you from beating your child(ren), and/or keep you from taking a mommy vacation in your local mental health facility, then I have served a purpose in this life.”

Jensen also serves on the Change Your Life... Change Your Attitude (CYACYL) advisory team as a Mommy Mentor/Coach. You can hear Renee's monthly tips on CYACYL's weekly radio talk show hosted by Joan Herrmann. It is aired on New York's WOR 710AM which also streams on iHeart Radio! (cyacyl.com)
